Who We Are...
The IHM Music Ministry is a multi-generational ministry that serves all the masses and various liturgies of the parish.
Our goal is to lead and enhance the worship of the IHM parish, while having fun, learning and growing together.
As a unified musical and spiritual community, we rehearse, pray, and party as one group. We welcome all levels of musical experience and provide strong vocal training. Instruments of all kinds are also welcome. Come join us!

Ann has served as Music Director at Immaculate Heart of Mary since 1998. Ann is married with three children. Active in Music Ministry since her youth, Ann has served as vocalist and/or choir director at parishes in Los Angeles, Cambridge, and South Hadley before coming to Granby.
Born in the San Francisco area, Ann received her B.A. from UCSC and studied voice at the Academy of Music in Bordeaux, France. She spent 10 years in business as a marketing manager in western Massachusetts before devoting herself to ministry and music administration.
Ann’s philosophy is that God created every person with a voice and an innate ability to sing. Her greatest pleasure is renewing this gift in her choir members and her parishioners. There are few joys as gratifying as worshipping God in music!

WHEN IN OUR MUSIC GOD IS GLORIFIED
When in our music God is glorified
And adoration leaves no room for pride,
It is as though the whole creation cried:
ALLELUIA!
How often, making music, we have found
A new dimension in the world of sound,
As worship moved us to a more profound
ALLELUIA!
So has the church, in liturgy and song,
In faith and love, through centuries of wrong,
borne witness to the truth in ev’ry tongue:
ALLELUIA!
And did not Jesus sing a psalm that night
When utmost evil strove against the light?
Then let us sing, for whom he won the fight:
Alleluia!
Let ev’ry instrument be tuned for praise!
Let all rejoice who have a voice to raise!
And may God give us faith to sing always:
